In the fall of 2020, Merel van Klinken, oncology nurse and nursing consultant Palliative Care at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, applied to Roparun for three couple beds. Her application was honored, as a result of which the AVL now has three fully adjustable beds at its disposal that can be seamlessly linked to a high-low bed. Thanks to the couple bed, patients and their loved ones can now be together day and night if desired. Together with fellow oncology nurse Nada van der Leeden, she shares her experiences.
